Shawna Hudson

Dr. Shawna Hudson is a medical sociologist specializing in primary care research.  She has published extensively on the role of primary care in long-term follow-up care for cancer survivors. Input from patients, clinicians and the community is at the heart of her work.  Dr. Hudson has led and serves as a collaborator on multiple National Institutes of Health- and National Cancer Institute (NCI)-funded studies. Most recently, she served as a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s (NASEM) Committee on Implementing High-Quality Primary Care and Committee on Transforming Health Care to Create Whole Health: Strategies to Assess, Scale, and Spread the Whole Person Approach to Health.
